About Isabel
Isabel is relentless in her pursuit of justice. A fierce advocate for her clients, she believes in standing up to bullies and embodies the principles of zealous representation. Isabel collaborates closely with clients to understand their priorities and then delivers results.
Before joining Storms Dworak, Isabel honed her litigation skills in private criminal defense for nearly four years, acting as a shield between her clients and the power of the government. She has tried numerous cases to verdict and litigated complex evidentiary issues.
Prior to that, Isabel clerked for the Honorable Justice Margaret H. Chutich of the Minnesota Supreme Court, where she refined her legal research and writing skills under one of the nation’s foremost legal writers. Her time at the state’s highest court provided her with invaluable insight into appellate advocacy and judicial decision-making—an experience that continues to shape her strategic approach to litigation.
Isabel’s advocacy skills were recognized early in her career. During law school, she won multiple awards for oral advocacy, including Best Oral Advocate in the regional William McGee Civil Rights Moot Court competition and Best Brief in the National Moot Court regional tournament. She later returned as an adjunct professor and coached two teams to top placements in the National Tournament in Washington, D.C.
Before law school, Isabel dedicated a year to AmeriCorps, working with the Legal Rights Center to support youth at risk of suspension, expulsion, and juvenile justice system involvement. This early commitment to justice and equity continues to drive her work as an attorney.
With a deep understanding of the law and a track record of success in the courtroom, Isabel has the experience and tenacity to help her clients push back against powerful systems and achieve the best possible outcomes.
